Dr. Kesavan Karthikeyan, M.Pharm., Ph.D. (IIT-BHU), Postdoc (USA), is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, and subsequently pursued postdoctoral research at the University of Iowa, USA, through the prestigious DBT–IUSSTF Indo-US Genome Engineering/Editing Technology Initiative (GETin) Overseas Fellowship (2019–2020).
His research focuses on nanopharmaceuticals, ocular drug delivery, mucoadhesive nanocarriers, and advanced gene/drug delivery systems, with particular emphasis on developing innovative therapeutic approaches for ocular diseases. He has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications, patents, and research projects and has mentored doctoral and postgraduate researchers in pharmaceutical sciences. His work combines pharmaceutical nanotechnology with translational approaches to improve targeted and sustained therapeutic delivery.
